Windows 10 Bug – October 2021 Update

Due to a change in Windows 10 introduced with the October 2021 update, the guides on the work screen are displayed too thick. This has been corrected with the 7.3.0.25 update. Please use this or a newer version of MarkStein Publisher.

Color management on MacBook Pro

In rare cases, color management for image files cannot be executed. So far, this problem only occurs on Apple’s MacBook Pro laptops. As a workaround, we recommend removing the color profile from the affected image files.

Multimedia Functions in PDF (Rich Media)

The function “Multimedia” on frames for embedded videos is no longer usefully supported under Windows 10 by the current Acrobat (Reader) versions. Since embedding videos in PDF files may cause many problems (large files, missing codecs, no playback in browsers, playback only on the Mac), we recommend linking videos via web links (e.g. YouTube or Vimeo), which are placed on a picture frame with a preview image.
